HappyPath: A Convenient Path Bookmark Manager for Webadmins
HappyPath is a free Chrome extension developed by SSIT that offers a unique approach to bookmarking. Unlike traditional bookmark managers that save entire URLs, HappyPath allows users to bookmark just the path of a website. This is particularly useful for enterprise CMS users and webadmins who frequently access the same tools across multiple websites.
With HappyPath, users can save paths like /cms/login.html or /api/introspect instead of bookmarking the entire URL. This saves time and effort, especially for those who have to type in the same paths repeatedly. For example, if you work for a company with 500 websites, all with the same paths to the same admin tools, HappyPath can significantly streamline your workflow.
The latest version, 3.2, introduces port support, allowing users to specify a port for their bookmarked paths. This feature further enhances the flexibility and convenience of HappyPath. Version 3.1 includes a fix to re-enable the context menu, while version 3.0 brings bug fixes and updates for Chrome extension compliance. In version 2.2, HappyPath introduced the ability to add RegEx transformations, enabling users to create links based on regular expression matches in the current URL.
While there are still some features on the to-do list, such as saving domains as well as paths, customizing query string variables, and better path management, HappyPath already offers a valuable solution for webadmins seeking a more efficient way to bookmark and access frequently used paths across multiple websites.
